Hertz and Ryanair / out of hours / unlimited km

    I believe, based on what I think I have seen or heard, that Ryanair passengers renting with Hertz have the following advantages:

    • The Hertz counter will be open to meet all passengers arriving from Ryanair, even if not usually open at that time, with no out-of-hours charge
    • Unlimited km

    Can anyone confirm this? I can't find anything to confirm these with any certainty on the Hertz or Ryanair websites

    Unfortunately hertz4ryanair site is contradictory on the unlimited km, as for example when I try to book a car in Koeln, the daily km shows either as 300km on the booking page, or unlimited on the pop-ups between pages. This is the same whether in German or English.

    And, ignoring the Ryanair website, if I go directly to hertz.de for a car from Koeln airport:


    - If my country is Germany I can get a car with unlimited km (prepaid) or 250km per day (non prepaid)
    - If my country is Italy I can only get a car with limited km of 300km per day


    Yet both these have a World on Wheels rate code (WOW). Strange.
