Hi, folks,
I've just returned from a 14-day trip to Germany. I rented three different cars. The first one was a B-Class from Sixt. The second one was a Ford Focus convertible from Europcar. The last one was a ML 320 from Avis ("Prestige Car"). It was not my first time with Avis. The first times were ok. This time wasn't. When I returned the car at Frankfurt airport, an Avis employee was expecting me to check the car (it seemed to be just with this car). She found a little tiny scratch in the left front bumper. Less than 1 centimeter. It could hardly been noticed. But Avis charged me 460 euros for that. Unbeliveable! Almost what I payed for the entire rental.
The thing that made me upset is that the car came with three large scratches when I picked it up. As they probably charged the other customers for these scractches, why didn't they repair the car before renting it again? Are they charging the damage, but never repairing it, and keep renting the car damaged? Isn't it an easy way to make some money?
Well, i was really disappointed with Avis and i think i'll never rent with them again.
Greetings
